What is Paleo?

Over the past several years, paleo dieting has become more popular than ever, but many people are still confused about what the paleo diet is—and if it’s right for them. Some people call it the “caveman diet” because it’s based on our Paleolithic ancestors’ traditional foods. Others think it’s a fad or a diet that’s better suited to the fitness fanatic who’s not quite ready for a complete lifestyle overhaul. Still, others think it’s just a culinary fad, that the ‘cave’ part of the diet is just a gimmick created to sell more books.

The idea of eating like your ancestors—and not just humans—is nothing new, but this diet has gained in popularity in the past decade. Some people refer to it as the paleo diet, though it isn’t so much about being pale as being more in line with our evolutionary history. The diet is based on the belief that humans have adapted to eating foods found in nature, so if we try to eat more like them, we will be healthier.

Paleo diets are all about eating like our hunter-gatherer ancestors. They’re based on the idea that the foods that were eaten during the Paleolithic era were the healthiest for humans and that these foods are the best diet to follow today. But what is paleo? It is a diet that advocates consuming foods that our ancestors may have eaten in the Paleolithic era, which is the period of time in which hunter-gatherers roamed the earth. The diet excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, and salt and involves eating plenty of lean proteins, such as meat, fish, and fowl.

Eating real food is what you should be doing, but because so much of what we’ve been told about food in the past is wrong, it’s hard to know what to eat. This is because many health experts have changed their opinions over the years about what’s healthy to eat, and there are even some nutritionists who advocate that you shouldn’t eat anything at all. The truth is that it’s very easy to eat the right foods, but the hard part is following through with these recommendations.

For some, the idea of eating like our caveman ancestors is preferable to the modern-day standard of fast food and processed foods. The Paleolithic diet has been around for centuries, and research has shown that it can be extremely healthy. It includes eating like cavemen, with lots of lean protein, vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and healthy fats.

The paleo diet is a low carbohydrate, high fat, and moderate protein diet. It was created in the early 1970s by a man named Loren Cordain. It was a radical departure from the standard American diet, in which a high percentage of calories from carbohydrates are consumed. Both animal and plant foods are eaten in the paleo diet, but no dairy, grains, or legumes are consumed.

If you plan on sticking to a paleo diet, you’ll need to plan for some major changes in your diet. The first thing you need to do is cut out the modern foods you’re used to eating from your diet. If you’re eating a whole load of grains, dairy, and other foods that are bad for you, you’re going to have some major health problems that you can’t ignore. You can probably live without eating meat, but if you are eating nothing but deadly fruits, vegetables, and grains, you are going to have to take extra steps to protect your health.

No matter how healthy your diet is, you can’t avoid worrying about what you’re eating. That’s why the paleo diet is so popular: it gives you easy answers to your questions about nutrition and fitness. The diet is based on the idea that we should all eat like our ancestors did: without grains and dairy and with plenty of animal protein and fat. Not only does it work for health and weight loss, but it’s also a lot of fun! Best of all, it doesn’t require you to give up all your favorite foods.

The paleo diet is one of the easiest ways to eat healthily, lose weight, and feel great. The diet respects the fact that our bodies are designed to be adapted for the food that was available during the Paleolithic era.
